Wow two of the All Time Hall of Fame Coaches pitting their two fighters against each other for Cornelius IBF Jr. Middleweight Title. Why not? We know Manny will not attempt to move up past 154lbs. So why not end his career trying to unify the titles at jr. middleweight? He's already proved he can beat Miguel Cotto. The WBC is vacant, the WBO champion is Sergeii Dzinziruk which nobody has really heard of, but Cornelius makes it an interesting fight because of his Trainer Emmanual Steward.
Fight fans love a good fight even though alot of people would not give Cornelius "K9" Bundrage a chance against Manny but fight fans love it when you have "two" mastermind trainers. One thing you have to give K9 is that he has a punchers chance. It would be labeled "Speed vs Power" because that is exactly how it would turn out. Everybody loves punchers. Everybody loved Arturo Gatti, even though he had some losses, but they love his ability to knock people out.
Unify, Unify, Unify. Manny should really consider unifying the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO at jr. middleweight. He would go down as one of the all time greats if he can pull that off. Manny is getting older and alot of people have not realized it yet but Manny has been complaining about aches and pains here and there. Nobody really cares about the Politics that he is involved in. If he is not careful he will end up like Oscar Dela Hoya. Oscar went down hill when he became a "part-time boxer".
Manny Pacquiao vs Cornelius Bundrage. Freddie Roach vs Emmanual Steward. That would make for an awesome HBO 24/7 not so much as to watch those guys train, but to see the strategies that these two great trainers would come up with. I know that both fighters wouldn't mind putting it on the line, but are the trainers willing to put their Pride on the line to see who is the better trainer that night?
